The First 100
ParentsPost.com asked the Houston Department of Health & Human Services. The agency says each day, 191 babies are born in Houston. In 2012, a total of 69,692 babies were born in the Bayou City – 35,364 boys and 34,328 girls.
Those figures are up from 2011 when the daily average for births in Houston was 172. The 2011 total births in Houston was 63,705 babies – 32,054 boys and 30,841 girls.
This First 100 days with a newborn baby is possibly the most magical, the most joyful, and the most-sleep deprived phase anyone may ever experience. All at once, it can be overwhelming. There’s so much to learn. It’s a period you just keep repeating to yourself, “I didn’t know that I didn’t know that.”
This section is dedicated to resources and recommendations that can help ease the transition into family life. This section contains articles and video posts with information that may come in handy in the First 100 days and beyond
