Houston’s REBECCA BERESWILL as ELSA
Houston native Rebecca Bereswill is the principal skater cast in the role of Princess Elsa of Arendelle.
Bereswill was born and raised in Houston, graduating from The Post Oak School and Episcopal High School with her identical twin sister Allison. She trained and skated in Houston for ten years, and studied at the Houston Ballet for eight years. “I am honored to be portraying the role of Elsa in Disney On Ice presents Frozen and look forward to sharing it with you. Traveling to new cities, catching up with friends and working with this amazing cast has been a dream come true,” she says.
FROM SCREEN TO ICE
This is the first time that royal sisters Elsa and Anna are appearing in a live production. Families will be captivated by a fantastic combination of musical masterpieces, beautiful skating and spectacular backdrops. The set design transports the audience to the kingdom of Arendelle and the dramatic winter wonderland of the North Mountains.
The show’s amazing special effects magnify Elsa’s magical powers. And the storyline explores family dynamics and siblings’ bonds with a universal message: true love is the greatest power of all!
Millions of children around the world have fallen in love, even become obsessed, with the stars and the music of the 2013 Disney animated feature. Disney’s FROZEN won two Academy Awards – one for Best Animated Feature and another for Best Original Song with “Let It Go.” The film ranks as the highest-grossing animated film of all time, raking in nearly $1.3 Billion in worldwide box office revenue.
“In our more than 30 years of producing Disney On Ice shows, Feld Entertainment has been waiting for a film like this,” says producer Nicole Feld. “While it might seem obvious that FROZEN is well suited for the ice, this Disney On Ice production will touch audiences emotionally through innovative show elements and world-class skating.”
Other famous Disney personalities are scheduled to make appearances including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, beloved princesses and characters from Toy Story, Finding Nemo and The Lion King.
